1. Opportunity The opportunity I found was to create a top coat for nail polish that does not chip and lasts four to six weeks. This top coat can also be put on top of any kind of nail polish. Women that get their nails done have this need. I have been getting my nails done for many years now and there is nothing more frustrating than chipping a nail shortly after getting them done. This is the reason that I decided to act upon this need. I think that the forces that are creating this opportunity is mainly technology and science. Over the years there have been many new types of nail polished such as dip and gel. These both have improved the quality of manicures, but they are not solutions. These women could be of all ages, but mostly between 20 and 60 years old. Geographically, these women are located all over the world. Assignment 30A- Final Reflection

My most formative and memorable experience would be having to come up with all ideas for every aspect of my business plan. As I was doing these assignments, it was really difficult to do and it honestly made me realize that I do not want to be an entrepreneur. The most joyous experience would be the book I read for the first reading reflection assignment. The book I read was Grinding It Out: The Making of McDonald’s. I really enjoyed reading this book. I watched the movie The Founder last semester, so it was interesting to compare the similarities and differences. I am most proud of myself for reading all of the books because I hate reading. I do not see myself as an entrepreneur and I do not see myself ever becoming one. One recommendation I would make to the students who take this class next would be to do all of the assignments as early as they can in the semester and to not wait until Friday to do them. Assignment 28A- My Exit Strategy

If I were to continue with my business outside of this class, I would plan to eventually sell it to another company. I do not think that I would want to be doing something like this and working with the same thing in the long run. I think I would also sell the company because I would not want to deal with competition. I think that in the next decade, there will be many new solutions for long lasting nail polish. I have not thought about my exit strategy until now, therefore, it has not influenced any previous decisions made in my business concept.

Assignment 27A- Reading Reflection No. 3

For this reading reflection, I read Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future by Ashlee Vance. What surprised me the most in this book was that Elon Musk has so many companies. I knew that he was the innovator behind Tesla but I did not know about all the others. It shocked me that he also was the innovator behind PayPal. What I admired most about Elon Musk is that he is that he is only 47 and is so successful. He is a part of so many different companies: SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, The Boring Company, OpenA, PayPal, and more. Honestly, after reading this book, there is nothing that I “least” admire about Elon Musk. He has come up with so many companies that are benefiting so many people. Elon Musk was CEO of PayPal when it merged with Confinity. He was ousted about a year later due to disagreements among other leaders in the company. Assignment 26A- Celebrating Failure

This semester I failed in this class when I did an assignment and did not submit the URL to my blog. I did the assignment, posted it, declared part b, and did all the comments for part c. I did not realize that I did not submit the link until the TA sent out an email saying that many peoples points were being taken away because they also did not submit links. From this I learned that I need to pay attention when submitting these assignments. I have to be 100% certain that I am submitting all the links. I think that failure is tough and is embarrassing. When I realized that I did not submit the link, did all the work for the assignment and did not get credit, I was really disappointed. Usually when I fail at something, I do not fail at the same thing again. For assignments in this class, I made sure that I submitted links and even sometimes, I checked multiple times to ensure that I did.
