Assignment 9A- Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

WHO: As I interviewed people for part one of this assignment, I realized that there are some people that fall outside of my target audience of any men and women that paint their nails. My product is a top coat that goes on top of any color or type of nail polish that makes the polish last 4 to 6 weeks and also will not chip. Two of my interviewees stated that they only occasionally paint or get their nails painted for special events. Since they do not have polish on their nails often, they would not benefit from spending additional money on the top coat. My next interviewee said that they do paint their nails and that their nails do chip, they just do not care that they chip. It does not bother them. Another interviewee said that they also get their nails done for certain events but take the polish off as soon as the event is over. Therefore, this product would not be used by them either. They said they will wear it for events like weddings and family pictures but hate having polish on their nails because of the damage it does. My final interviewee said that they paint their nails often. She also said that she likes to change the color every week, as she gets bored with the same color on her nails.

WHAT: Something I had not considered before these five interviews is that some like to change the color of their polish quite often. I also had not considered the possible damage that can be done to the nail by this product.

WHY: I believe that the need is different from those inside the boundary. I think that some have been getting their nails done for so long that there is almost no going back from the damage that nail polishes have done to their nails.
