My name is Madison Burken. I am a Junior at UF majoring in general business with a specialization in event management. One of my main aspirations is to help people. With my business idea, I plan to help other women who go to the salon to get their nails done. My product is a top coat clear polish that can be put on any kind of nail polish. This nail polish will prevent chipping and make nails last 4-6 weeks. If I were to pursue this business, it would play a large role in my life. I would do anything I can for this business to be successful and to successfully help other women out there save money and time. I came up with this product because I became tired of having to get my nails done so often. I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks and I usually go because my nails become messed up. I think that I received two important pieces of feedback. The first was that those who reviewed my pitch did not realize how much females spend on nail services. This number is very high and I think it is important for people to know the actual number. The second was that one of my viewers said that he liked my idea so much that he showed it to their girlfriend. It made me happy that I could reach out to those who were not even in the class. The only thing that I changed for this second elevator pitch is that I tried to add in more data and statistics to let others know how much nail services are. I added more statistics because it seemed that that was something my viewers liked/commented about the most about my first pitch.

My product can be sold to both businesses (nail salons) and individuals. In this assignment, I will describe the target individual. She lives in Tampa, Florida. She is a mother of 3 (a 2-year-old girl, a 6-year-old boy, and a 10-year-old boy). She is a stay at home mother where she takes care of her children when they are not in school (her daughter does not attend school, so she is always watching her). I think that I am unique in many ways. The first way is that I am very hardworking. When I did not get into UF I worked my butt off at Santa Fe and studied 24/7 until I got my AA and was accepted as a transfer. The second way is that I love math. Math comes very easy to me and if I could do math problems all day I would. It truly brings me joy (I know it’s weird). The third was is that I am organized. I use a planner and plan my week with what homework and other activities I have going on. I also know where everything is all the time. The fourth one is that I am optimistic. I am always looking at the bright side of things no matter what is going on in life. The fifth one is that I am responsible.
